i have decided that it is time to start going through our photos from italy.
with over 4,000 images to weed through, i have some work ahead of me.

and while i love what my meager camera was able to capture, 

these photos are nothing compared to the real deal!!  

I can't wait to go back - with the mister - a full frame camera - and enough time to seriously soak it all in.

these are just a few (ahem) of my favorites from the beautifully medieval San Gimignano.

quick side-note - the 'town of towers' was surrounded with still functioning fortified walls that date back to the dark ages.  home to the Etruscan's, the town dates back to the 3rd century.

to say i was 'awe-struck' is an understatement. 

i wonder where i will wander to next on my editing excursion . . .

maybe Florence? Chianti? who knows!!
